Cultural & Creative Economy Seminar

The creative economy is one of the fastest-growing sectors in the world economy today. It has influenced national cultural policy in many countries across the world since the late 1990s. However, there is very little awareness and support for this sector. The vacuum therein presents itself as one of the major sectors which can really thrive provided the right policies are in place to develop the ecosystem to support it.

During 2023, ICCD in partnership with other organizations organized micro sessions under the overarching theme of “Unlocking the Creative Economy in Pakistan” to spur activity in these promising sectors and boost economic growth, diversify opportunities for employment, and create greater creativity and human capital.

ICCD has developed a comprehensive OIC Art & Business Strategy for the Private Sector to support the growth and development of the creative economy across OIC, throughout:

• 1-Create awareness about the creative economy and its importance.
• 2-Increase sales of creative economy products and services by bringing together buyers, sellers, sourcing agents, trader.
