We are pleased to announce signing a Memorandum of Understanding (#MoU) between the Islamic Chamber and Ziauddin University to jointly develop a framework and a legal study for the registration of #Waqf land, which will help in operationalizing #ICCIA‘s Green Waqf initiative and other activities focused on the institution of Waqf in member countries.
The Green Waqf #Initiative aims to provide a practical Islamic solution to tackle climate change, preserve biodiversity, and combat poverty by reviving the historical concept of the waqf.
H.E. Yousef Khalawi, Secretary General of ICCIA, stated, “We are delighted to partner with #ZiauddinUniversity on this important initiative.
