In the context of strengthening the Omani- Chinese economic ties, Special Economic Zone of Duqm witnessed – on Monday, October.25th, 2021- the inauguration of “Duqm Hongtong Piping Factory”, which is the Oman`s first factory for manufacturing “Reinforced Thermopolyethlene Pipes”, whereas it is established to be capable of producing around 1.200 km of non-metallic pipes made of “Reinforced Thermopolyethelene Substance”, that is used mainly in collector networks and to transfer of hydrocarbon wells outcomes.

          “Duqm Hongtong Piping Factory” is built over an area of 60,000 sq meters, for the purpose of covering the increasing international & local demand on non- metallic pipes that are used for oil and gas industry, aiming at providing The advanced and durable Thermopolyethylene Pipes systems for applications in oil and gas industry, water & gas distribution network, civil engineering, sewer water treatment companies, special construction and special infrastructure business.

          The products of this factory are manufactured according to technical specifications approved by Petroleum Development Oman Company (PDO) and The American Petroleum Institute, hence they are characterized by long shelf- life and high quality, which is considered as a new edition to oil and gas sectors.
