As part of ICCD strenuous efforts to achieve green and sustainable economy, Mr. Syed Saad Ali Pasha, Business Development Manager, and Mr. Anas Shaikh, Agribusiness Specialist, hosted the FAO delegation at ICCD Headquarters in Karachi, Pakistan, with a view to tackle the “Bananas in Pakistan’s Bio-economy: Transforming Waste into Textile” project.
During the meeting, the parties shed light on avenues of collaboration between ICCD and FAO, in order to establish an ecosystem for empowering and training farmers, as well as develop market linkages for agribusiness development, focusing on Agri-Business capacity development initiatives, enterprise development trainings and ICCD Business Connect.
