Press statement issued by the General Assembly of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development Regarding the ongoing sinful attacks in Palestine

The General Assembly of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development, which held today its 37th Meeting on Thursday, 8th Shawwal1442 H, corresponding to 20th May 2021, Sadly, Recalls, with great sorrow, what is happening today of the devastating and horrifying attacks at the land of Palestine –
mainly at Al-Aqsa Holy Mosque, passing through the atrocities in Gaza Strip and ending every dear inch of this Blessed Land – which is not permissible or acceptable to be silent on or to let it pass without taking a pause stand in its regard.
Whereas the delegations meeting today – as they are representing the private sector in the member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC)- are praying to Almighty Allah, to eliminate this gloom, protect the people of Palestine, accept their martyrs, and to heal their wounded, at the same time, It Strongly Affirms the following:
First: Emphasizing all of what was stated in the resolution issued by the electronic open-ended extraordinary meeting of the Executive Committee at the level of Foreign Ministers of the member states
of the Organization ofIslamic Cooperation, issued on Sunday 4th Shawwal1442 H, corresponding to 16th May 2021.
Second: On the purely humanitarian level; We affirm the following:
1- The time has come to reject the logic of brute force as a substitute for the logic of the proper and right. Truth is right even if its people are weak, and falsehood is false no matter how loud its voice is, truth does not fade or disappear, and certainly falsehood fate is to disappearance. Nothing remains of the brute force in the memory of history except in the dark black pages, while History perpetuates every champion of truth as long as his cause is just and sincere, and the evidence of this in the history are numerous and countless.
2- One of the deepest forms of human synergies that have brought together human beings – regardless of their nationalities, religions and ethnicities – are the sincere humanitarian stances we see today that have denounced – and with all courage – the blatant attacks that are taking place in the land of Palestine. These sincere voices were emanating from different parts of the world and from various politicians, intellectuals, athletes, artists, merchants, and executives: men and women, old and young, famous people and others, they were all unified only with their rejection of this unjust arrogant crime that stand against every logic, right and virtue.
3- The situation today is an expression of the awareness and humanity of its owner, and what distinguishes people from others is their sincere human feelings and their mental awareness of facts, and the higher the awareness, and the deeper the human meanings, the more facts appear clearly before our eyes. Regardless of the differences in opinions and positions, the conscious person remains: a human being … who cannot deny the meanings of humanity, is conscious… and cannot be subjected to deception and falsification of facts, for it is a sincere call for everyone to consciously think and feel a sincere sense of the human self, and then we will find that killing innocent children and silencing the media. The restriction on humanitarian aid can never be justified, whatever the circumstances.
Third: On the economic and commercial level – which is the field of work of the Islamic Chamber – We Confirm the following:
1- The need for economic and commercial empowerment of our people in Palestine in various possible ways, and for this we urge business owners and decision-makers in companies and commercial establishments – around the world – to give preference to Palestinian services and products, as this is the least that can be provided.
2- Facilitating and supporting the participation of the Palestinian private sector in various commercial events such as conferences, exhibitions, workshops, and other events.
3-Emphasizing the special importance of supporting entrepreneurship, small and medium enterprises, young men, and women entrepreneurs in Palestine, as these are the backbone of the Palestinian economy and its future, and there are unlimited areas to achieve this support before everyone in the various OIC countries: chambers of commerce, incubators, business accelerators and non-profit institutions and development banks, as well as companies and commercial institutions of various fields and types.
Finally, the duty today is to stand with the oppressed, who has the right, in the face of the oppressor, the aggressor. As for impartiality when the sun of truth shines, it is a crime against all humanity, not just Palestine.
