Preamble:
Considering the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030, Entrepreneurship is considered as one of the key drivers of economic growth and activity around the world. Pakistan, being one of the fastest-growing economies in Asia, has one of the largest youth populations-with 140 million people below the age of 30. Moreover, it is rapidly growing as a hub for entrepreneurial activity and many emerging and aspiring entrepreneurs have successfully transformed their startups into established businesses.
Best of Entrepreneurship in Pakistan series:
ICCIA believes that knowledge sharing and dialogue from such networks are crucial in promoting entrepreneurial activities. These activities would also serve ICCIA’s vision of laying a strong groundwork to support Pakistan’s emerging entrepreneurial community and cultivate a culture that enables entrepreneurs within Pakistan. Thus, ICCIA has decided to initiate the ‘Best of Entrepreneurship in Pakistan series’ to promote entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial activities.
This series will provide a conducive platform for leading entrepreneurs to share their success stories, inspire start-ups through knowledge sharing and mentorship programs. As the project evolves and achieves international visibility within the OIC countries, the format can be replicated in other OIC regions.
To energize the entrepreneurial ecosystem, the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture (ICCIA) aims to enable entrepreneurs of all stages- whether they have an initial business idea, want to scale up their startups, or explore entrepreneurial opportunities for the future.
With a geographical footprint covering 57 countries, ICCIA aims to enable aspiring students and leading entrepreneurs to share their stories, both locally and internationally.
