         As part of the efforts exerted towards enhancing cooperation between Bahrain & Arab- Brazilian Chambers of Commerce, a meeting has been held between Mr. Samir Abdullah Nas, President of Bahrain Chamber of Commerce, and Mr. Osmar Chohfi, President of Arab- Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, in Royal Saray Hotel-Bahrain, in the presence of Dr. Saud bin Abdulaziz Al Mishari, Secretary-General of the Federation of GCC Chambers, Dr. Abdulla Al Sada, Acting Chief Executive Officer, and board members of the Bahrain Chamber.
         During the meeting, avenues of strengthening cooperation in areas of business and trade between Brazil, Bahrain and Gulf Cooperation Council Countries were explored, then the parties decided to organize a joint business forum in order to get in touch with business owners from both sides and to highlight potential avenues of mutual economic cooperation.
         In this sphere, Mr. Samir Abdullah Nas, President of Bahrain Chamber of Commerce, commended the high- level relationships between Bahrain & Brazil and highlighted the importance of enhancing this cooperation, pointing out that KSA is the first of the countries that export Brazilian goods with $ 526.16 million, while Bahrain is the second with imports worth $ 406.36 million, then he identified promising fields of cooperation between them, such as: medical tourism, Pharmaceutical, education, aluminium downstream industry.
         On the other hand, Mr. Osmar Chohfi, President of Arab- Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, expressed his appreciation to the evolving cooperation between Brazil, Bahrain & Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), mentioning that Brazil is keen on expanding cooperation with these countries, highlighting the importance of holding joint business and exchanging delegations among them.
