Masdar signs an agreement with the Georgian Energy Development Fund

          “Masdar”, Abu Dhabi Company for the Future Energy, announced the signing of an agreement with the Georgian Energy Development Fund, to build the largest photovoltaic solar energy plant in Georgia, contributing to the diversification of energy sources and supporting climate action efforts.

           The agreement was signed in the presence of H.E Dr. Al Thani Al Zeydoudi, Minister of Foreign Trade in the United Arab Emirates, and Ms. Natela Turnava, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development in Georgia.

           It is noteworthy that the fund is a joint stock company established by the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia and wholly- owned by the state. Georgia relies mainly on hydroelectric power for electricity generation and is looking to enhance energy security and diversify its energy mix.
