With the participation of several African countries, the 3rd Turkish- African Economic and Business Forum took place on December 16- 18, 2021, in Istanbul, and focused on the importance of strengthening partnership and cooperation with the African countries, especially investment, and economic & experiences exchange.
The 3rd Turkish- African Economic & Business Forum was attended by a number of African heads of state, officials and experts. And included a number of bilateral meetings between economic actors and businessmen from the public and private sectors to explore opportunities for cooperation and economic integration between Turkey and the African countries.
In this regard, H.E. Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of the Republic of Turkey, declared that Turkey aims to raise the volume of its trade with the countries of the African Continent to 75 billion dollars annually, explaining that the volume of trade between Turkey and Africa rose to 25.3 billion dollars by the end of 2020, pointing out that the value of Turkish investments in the African continent exceeded 6 billion dollars, expressing his confidence that Turkey’s ties with African countries will grow stronger during the next upcoming years.
