Within the framework of the fourth edition of the Arab Sustainable Development Week entitled “Together for Sustainable Recovery”, “Financing Sustainable Development in Egypt” report was launched, making Egypt the world`s 1st country to issue this kind of reports.
In this context, Dr. Hala El Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development of the Arab Republic of Egypt, indicated that this comprehensive report presents, across its 13 chapters, an objective and in-depth analysis for a series of financing issues for development, that significantly impact on achieving sustainable development. It also provides a meta- analytical review of various economic and developmental sectors and their impact on development in Egypt, in addition to highlighting the government`s efforts towards in financing sustainable development projects in recent years.
It should be noted that this report was prepared under the umbrella of the League of Arab States, as a preliminary step to issue similar reports for the rest of the Arab countries.
