- In a pivotal moment that unites the spirituality of the place with aspirations for the future, Makkah Al-Mukarramah hosted the 41st General Assembly Meeting of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development (ICCD) on Monday, February 16, 2026, with participation from presidents and high-level representatives of federations and chambers of commerce from 24 Islamic countries, along with a distinguished group of decision-makers and business leaders, to explore avenues for enhancing economic integration between Islamic nations and unifying efforts to establish a cohesive commercial and investment framework that serves the interests of over two billion Muslims worldwide.
- Reaffirming its steadfast dedication to advancing the global Islamic economy, the Islamic Chamber of Commerce & Development (ICCD) convened the Indonesia–B57+ Multilateral Business Roundtable, titled “Integrating Markets Through Enhanced Connectivity, Trade, and Investment in the Islamic World,” in partnership with the Indonesian Business Council (IBC).

- In an effort to deepen economic integration and empower private-sector actors across the Muslim world, the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development (ICCD) hosted a high-level Halal Reception in Thailand, bringing together senior government officials, high-level international partners, and private-sector representatives, to foster collaboration in trade, investment, and values-driven collaboration between regional and global stakeholders.

- Karachi: The Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development held its Halal Fashion Conference 2025 in Karachi, bringing together fashion experts, trade bodies, business owners, among other stakeholders for a highly charged and impactful dialogue around the evolving demands of the Halal fashion industry in Pakistan and globally.
- As part of its strategic vision to propel the Asian entrepreneurial landscape and expand opportunities within tech-driven entrepreneurial cultures and diverse economic sectors, ICCD successfully concluded the second edition of the Best of Entrepreneurship Series in Asia (BOE Asia 2025), on September 24, 2025, at Karachi Expo Centre, on the sidelines of the 26th ITCN Asia.

The forum is jointly organized by Manafea Initiative and the Islamic Chamber Halal Services (ICHS), aiming to shape a more prosperous future for the global halal market.
- In a firm step to support innovation and stimulate creativity, the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development (ICCD) organized the first edition of the Best of Entrepreneurship Series in Egypt, under the theme “Entrepreneurship in Digital Transformation”, in partnership with the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce (ICCD), on September 17, 2024, in Cairo, the Arab Republic of Egypt, paving the way for a new era of growth and innovation in entrepreneurship.
- In its relentless pursuit of advancing food security and spurring economic growth across OIC member states, ICCD organized the first event of its Best of Entrepreneurship in Asia Series themed “Agri-tech: Feeding the Future”, on August 28, 2024, on the sidelines of the 25th ITCN Asia, at Karachi Expo Center, Pakistan.
- In a significant step towards fostering economic growth across OIC member countries, the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development (ICCD) organized an interactive series of workshops, in collaboration with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), from 19th to 21st August, 2024, at Kadin’s Headquarters in Jakarta, the Republic of Indonesia, in the presence of Indonesian business leaders and distinguished chambers’ representative, paving the way for a progressive business community.
- Given significance of propelling digital economy worldwide, the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development and Jordan Chamber of Commerce are organizing the Invest in Digital Economy Forum “Amman: The Capital of Digital Economy”, under the patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein, on May 26 – 27, 2024, in Amman, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, paving the way for a transformative era of growth and innovation in digital economy.
- Recognizing the significance of enhancing the Halal industry worldwide, Makkah Halal Forum kicked off under the theme of “Innovation in the Halal Industry”, under the auspices of His Excellency the Saudi Minister of Commerce, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al Qasabi, and under the patronage of the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, His Excellency Mr. Hussein Brahim Taha, from January 23 to 25, 2024, at Makkah Chamber of Commerce Events and Exhibition Center, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

From November 28th to 30th, this extraordinary event, jointly organized by the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development(ICCD), KSI Strategic Institute for Asia and the Pacific and Global One, explored the theme of “Innovations and Transformation in Islamic Economies”, leaving a lasting impact on the economic landscape.
- Within its strenuous endeavours to propel economic growth across OIC member countries, the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development (ICCD) participated in the 2nd Capacity-Building Programme for Users of the OIC Business Intelligence Centre (OBIC), organized by the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and the Islamic Corporation for the Insurance of Investment and Export Credit (ICIEC), under the theme of “Role of Information Sharing & Business Intelligence in Supporting Trade & Investment Decisions”, on September 26-28, 2023, at Hilton Istanbul Maslak, Türkiye.
- ICCD is honored to announce the convening of the 35th Meeting of its Board of Directors took place on July 17-18, 2023, in Baku, the Republic of Azerbaijan, with a tightly packed program focused on fostering collaboration and driving progress forward, and in the presence of chambers’ presidents and member states’ representatives, who shared their insightful visions and innovative ideas, shaping the promising economic future for the entire Islamic nation.
- Paving the way for a brighter future powered by technology and innovation, ICCD participated as a media partner in the world’s premier tech event “GITEX Africa”, held under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI from May 31 to June 2, 2023, in Marrakesh, Morocco, pioneering the next era of technological innovations and propelling economic growth across the region.
- In the midst of the strenuous efforts to promote the economic and social development of OIC member countries, and under the patronage of the Minister of Commerce and Acting Minister of Media of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, H.E. Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, a ceremony has been held to launch “Manafee” Partnership between the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development, Makkah and Madina chambers, on Wednesday, the 28th of December 2022, at Makkah Chamber for Exhibitions and Events Center, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in the presence of the Presidents and high-level representatives from the member chambers and relevant international institutions and organizations.
- In the light of the Mauritanian government’s support for ICCD’s efforts to advance economic development in Mauritania and the African continent, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Ghazouani, President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania received H.E. Mr. Yousef Khalawi, Secretary-General of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development at the Presidential Palace in Nouakchott.
- In conjunction with the growing global interest in the concept of microfinance, and under the auspices of the First Lady of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, ICCD organized its regional forum “Microfinance in Africa: Promising Opportunities and an Innovative Model”, was held in partnership with the Ministry of Social Affairs, Children and Family of Mauritania, the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Mauritania (CCIAM), AlBaraka Forum for Islamic Economy and ICCD Training Academy, on Monday and Tuesday, December 19 – 20, 2022, in Nouakchott, the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.
